Edison Square is a historic building located on South Tacoma Way. Built in 1919, Edison Square was originally the Realart Theater - one of Tacoma’s first movie theaters. At that time, the neighborhood was known as “Edison” before it was renamed South Tacoma in the 1920’s. Over 100 years later, the Realart Theater has been restored to its former glory, and Edison Square is born!
