Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a W and M Alumnus to rent the Alumni House. From intimate weddings of 40 people to large gatherings of over 250, we can do it all. Both indoor and outdoor space is available for ceremonies and receptions and we allow outside catering. The original portion of the House, formerly known as the Bright House, dates from c. 1860 and was built on a tract of land once called, appropriately enough, “New Hope.” The House has since been renovated and added to in order to offer both modern and colonial charm for a venue unlike any other. If you are looking for something unique that is certain to wow your guests, look no further.
