Started in 2005, Sweetpea was Portland’s first all-vegan retail bakery. We started small, and grew into opening our current retail space in 2008. We have expanded our menu to offer breakfast, daily homemade soups, sandwiches, bagels, and a full range of pastries and cakes. Saturday is always doughnut day. Every Monday is Cronut day ! Come sit in our spacious cafe and enjoy the atmosphere of a space dedicated to quality food and animal rights. Our focus is on making quality vegan baked goods that will rival any counterpart. We have set out to prove that no animals need to be harmed to make a delicious moist cake, a soft doughnut, or a flaky scone. We use many organic ingredients, as well as locally grown flour. Much of our seasonal produce and fruit is also sourced locally. We compost 80% of our waste, and use compostable to-go packaging, cups and utensils.
