Black & Gold Photography is a full service photography company specializing in Weddings. Self-taught husband and wife photographers Joel Boily and Cheryl Mains are based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and are available for travel world wide. Black & Gold is known for its candid photojournalistic style using a combination of natural light and flash photography. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! THIS IS US We met in 2008 and knew we were meant to be together after one fateful night of Disney karaoke and wine. Married in 2016, we now help guide couples through their own wedding days and do whatever it takes to give them the best wedding photography experience that we can. WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT Between the two of us we have 20 years of experience in the Winnipeg wedding industry. Joel had an early start in the wedding industry as an interactive DJ and in 2009 he started Black & Gold Photography after developing a passion for the art of photography. Cheryl graduated with a degree in Theatre Design from the University of Winnipeg in 2009. She has 10 years of dance training and loves when all the pieces of a production come together. Her eye for detail and creativity led her to photography. For 3 years Joel and Cheryl managed a local portrait studio together photographing families and kids of all ages. Fast forward to now and the husband and wife duo have combined their many strengths to make Black & Gold Photography what it is today.
