We offer a large variety of cake flavors, cake fillings and icings. Our cakes are made fresh, from scratch right here! We use our own delicious buttercream icing or whipped topping. Some tempting flavors we carry--red velvet chocolate cake, lemon poppy seed, marble and more! Looking for something different? Ask us! When you walk in the door at Herb's, you're walking into a family baking tradition that began in Germany almost 9 generations ago. Since 1954, Herb's has been creating and baking delicious, real bakery treats for the Elgin and Fox Valley area. From old-fashion cake donuts, hand-made Danish, Kringles and the Soft Bavarian German Pretzel Roll, to elegant and fun custom cakes and desserts, what you see here-we create here.
