La Raine started working in the fashion industry over 20 years ago and her love of bringing fashion to her clients runs deep. Her creativity and catering to her customer’s needs is what has driven her success. Her first shop was at Phipps Plaza, and when she moved her shop to the beautiful Virginia Highlands, she began selling designer clothing. Her boutique also carried ready to wear bridal gowns.
As more and more customers began to come to the boutique for their expertise in wedding gowns, this part of the business expanded to custom made gowns. A decision was made to expand bridal gowns to the entire boutique at the St. Charles Avenue location.
La Raine’s Boutique became known for their wedding gowns and exceptional one on one service. Eventually, the need for a new location grew. Staying apart of the Virginia Highlands neighborhood was important to La Raine, and there were no questions asked when the La Raine’s family decided to relocate to 853 North Highland Avenue. This historic house turned 100 years old in 2009. The original owners, Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander Cook, held their daughter’s wedding in the house. It was only fitting that this house would end up being a wedding boutique.
