Melanie has been providing professional calligraphy since 1988. She learned this art form through years of professional study with highly regarded artists through The New School for Social Research (parent school to Parsons School of Design) in New York City, The School of Sacred Arts in New York City, as well as privately and through professional societies. This form of calligraphy is considered to be more difficult and time consuming than other styles. In addition, for envelopes, Melanie centers one line below the other on many of the addresses. Centering is more time consuming but it is a beautiful design format. For the addresses that are not centered, Melanie uses a staggered format which is also a very decorative option. If you would like a custom invitation, she can draw the body of an invitation in calligraphy for reproduction.
