Jen's Cakes was started in May of 2004 in a commercial kitchen in downtown Los Gatos. In July of 2008, we relocated our business to downtown Willow Glen in San Jose, CA. The opening of our solo location has been an adventure we have enjoyed immensely. All custom cakes and large orders are done to order. This just means it’s best to plan your dessert in advance. Wedding cakes can be booked anywhere from 18 months to days before the date as long as the reception location is nailed down and we are available. Cupcake and special occasion cake orders should be booked 7 days in advance. We also enjoy making mini desserts and you can place your order for these tiny creations as close as 10 days in advance. HOW TO ORDER OR SCHEDULE A WEDDING CAKE TASTING: You may order your cake via e-mail or phone 408.293.CAKE (2253). You may start the ordering process via email, please keep in mind that your order will need to be confirmed via email before it is considered a completed order. WEDDING CAKES can be booked as far as 18 months in advance. Because we are a small business, our weekends tend to fill up quickly. It is best to plan your cake tasting according to the season of your wedding. Remember the popular months of May – October and know that we can fill up as far as 4-6 months in advance. We always list our closed weekend on our website for your convenience. SPECIAL OCCASION CAKES & CUPCAKES (i.e. birthday, anniversary, and showers) should be ordered 7 days in advance. Just like wedding cakes, we sometimes cannot take special occasion cake/cupcake orders. The list that applies to our closed weekends for weddings, also applies to our special occasion cakes. Miniature/Two-bite desserts should be ordered 10-14 days in advance. Some desserts require special ordered items and need up to 2 weeks for shipping.
