Hello future brides and grooms! My name is Crystal. I am the proud owner of Cakes Creatively by Crystal. After high school, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business from Franklin University. I then attended The Ohio State University where I received my teachers license in Family and Consumer Science. I have been baking and decorating cakes all of my life. I spent many hours as a child in the kitchen with my grandma baking with an easy bake oven. I began baking cakes for family birthday parties and bridal showers, then 8 years ago I started to make wedding cakes as a hobby. My first year of making wedding cakes, I made 13 cakes. In 2011, I made 97 wedding cakes along with many bridal shower, birthday and groom’s cakes. My business is home based, my husband and I built a new house in 2011. We made what would normally be an ”office” into a bakery. Ever since starting this business I always thought that baking and decorating 100 cakes in one year would be a awesome goal that I would never hit , last year I baked and decorated 107 wedding cakes. This was very exciting for me. I have my mind set on new goals and new designs for 2017. I believe I bake one of the most moist cakes in central Ohio, creating new flavors all of the time. My products are priced very competitively. I charge per slice, not by design. We also customize all of our wedding cakes based on your individual style, this earned us “Best of Knot 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016″. Customizing cake designs is one thing that I love most about this profession, every day is different and challenging. This is my passion and this is why I love to make beautiful cakes for the most important day in a person’s life.
